2 Things YOU Can Do NOW To Make The World A Better Place

The truth is that if you really want to make the world a better place, you need to take a look at the mirror and make the change. It is easy to say other people should do this or that, but true change begins with YOU.

So here are the two simple things YOU can do NOW to make the world a better place.

1. Reusing glass or metal bottles. Purchase a glass or metal container that you can easily refill. You can invest in a water filter or boil your tap water and refill your glass bottles daily. I have several at home, one in my office, my car and in my travel bag. You do not have to eliminate water bottles completely, because let’s face it sometimes you are so thirsty and the only available option happens to be water in a plastic bottle.

Want to know why plastic water bottles are harmful for the environment and you read below:

FACT: Americans use about 50 billion plastic water bottles each year. (Source here).

FACT: Plastic water bottles require approximately 450 years to decompose. (Source here).

Much of the US plastic waste is shipped to third world countries where the plastic is burned and dumped into lakes and natural habitats causing severe health problems for the people who live there. (Watch “Broken” The Truth About Recycling on Netflix).

The other problem with drinking from plastic water bottles is the gradual damage that it is causing you. You see plastic is extremely toxic when it is heated and during the transportation process from the factory to the store the plastic bottles are packed into a truck that can heat up to high enough temperatures that can cause the plastic toxins to release into the water.

You might think, nah just one person can’t make a difference. If everyone thought this way, that would be true. This is why it begins with YOU!

2. Eat more fresh greens, and grains. By lessening the amount of red meat and fish that you eat will be decreasing the demand and as a result less cows would have to be produced.

Want to know why eating cow is harmful for the environment and you read below:

FACT: Livestock farming is hugely responsible for producing methane. Methane is 23 times more potent when it comes to warming the planet. Yes, driving cars is no good, but meat production is unexpectedly worse for the environment. (Source)

FACT: Slaughterhouses are also responsible for large outputs of greenhouse gases such as methane and carbon dioxide, both major contributors to climate change. These gases are created both in the process of slaughter and by the degradation of wastewater. (Source).

I am not here to tell you what to do or how to live your life. I made these two choices for myself and I feel so fulfilled that I am doing my part in contributing in making the world a better place for all living beings on it. I hope with all of my heart that you too will choose to make these small changes that will make the world a better place.

Please share this article with three people, so that it can create a ripple effect for the greater good of the world.

Love and Blessings,

Alina, thankyou very much for your performance at shark tank. Your background resonated so much with me and I congratulate you. Same as you I came to this country with nothing, and with hard work achieve much more than a lot of the americans that give so much for granted. Seeing you jumping up and down reminded me how humble and gratefull we are for being here and achieving the american dream; definitely not the attitude that others showed when getting a deal. I am now unemployed but after seeing what you achieved I am ready to do something better with my life.
When your mom talked it resonated so much with me, like her I also have an accent and unfortunately I am looked down as soon as I open my mouth. You Ma’am are an example to follow. Big Thanks!
